TD: Building High-performing Teams & The Learning Charter

Some terrific contributions as we looked at vehicles for BHPT with the standards of the Learning Charter firmly in mind.

As ever, click to enlarge and maybe leave a constructive comment if you like.

  1. Not all staff are presented….there should be a variation in the images and all staff’s pictures should be taken…not the very few…..not a very good representation of staff diversity.

  2. Unfortunately, there are nearly 200 staff involved in such days and, as is probably obvious, to take a photo representing all of them would be problematic for technical reasons – getting them all in the one picture or ticking them all off as they feature in a range of pictures etc.

The pictures taken are to “represent” (as you suggest) but “represent” is a word which perhaps implies that not all staff will be included for the sort of reasons cited?

Hopefully, though, the flavour or representation of the day and the staff involved is in the fact that support staff with a site team role, support staff with an administrative role, staff with a teaching and/or leadership role are all included in the pictures.

Given this and other factors, I don’t really understand the criticism about it not representing staff diversity.

I am really happy if others want to take images of the day and to support in all the work that goes in to such sessions – staff have been BRILLIANT at this – so it’d be great if you wish to help out next time.

Thanks for the feedback – it’s great that staff take time out to get involved!
